Help with new mother hen please!

It looks like you might have room in there for a milk-crate - the heavy plastic kind they sell for storage. If you turn it on its' side and secure it with the open top against the front of the nest box, your little mama would be safe from the others and you would have room to put food and water within her reach. The grid should be small enough to keep the peeps in and safe, as well - and all stay warm and protected.
Good Luck!

I had her in the box 5 days after she was broody and kept her in the house with the chicks (in a large watermelon cardboard box) until they chicks were about 4 weeks and then they all went into the run. We ended up expanding the run while she was inside so that We could have them separated from the other hens with wire. This way they could see each other and get used to each other.

This was our first time with a broody and hen raised chicks so it wasn’t perfect. It was a learning experience for all of us.
I did essentially the same thing, after having my momma hen and her chicks inside for a few weeks, we moved tthem to a sectioned off area of the coop, where we have just chicken wire separating the babies and the adult members of the coop, so they could get to know each othr. It worked rather well
