In Israel? Yeah then you're going to have to be lucky unless someone is working on a pure line there. And getting eggs or chicks over country borders is bound to be a huge THING. I had a rough time just getting a dog from Canada...much less dealing with your area of the world.

Maybe you should check egg import procedure from the UK. Might be something there for you. Importation would seriously jack your start up costs but save you a ton of time in the long run... Money vs Time/land-space is one of those hard things.

If you're in Israel, you might want to look into some of the European breeds. They have some excellent laying breeds which are almost unknown in USA.
