Those are the ones. I haven’t done it while they’re molting. I tend to just trim around their eyes at that point. Right now I’m doing it because the stickiness of watermelon and weight of water are causing her crest to fall into her eyes. Poor thing. And she’s so hot!

I have actually worried about that. So far mine haven’t been able to get them out, BUT that’s why I replace fairly often. If it looks like it’s slipping I swap bands. The clear ones seem to have a decent grip. I also monitor for dampness. I don’t want their heads to stay damp if they went in the rain or whatever.
