HELP!!!

I have only had them hatch in an turner once, they hatched a few days early before I took it out. Was chickens, and I did have a few with splay leg. But I splinted those few and they were fine. So I am praying for no duck splay legs.

Do any of you know what the black matter is inside eggs? I have only seen it in chicken eggs when they stop forming in the egg. I noticed the black started when I candled them after the storm. And thought that meant the egg was bad.

These eggs you can see through very easy, and now I can see the black blotches covering a few eggs. And even the one hatching I can see the black tint? Ill have to look more closely after they hatch.
can you post a picture of what you are talking about??

I will keep y'all updated. Until then I might go run a few laps around the house to get rid of all this built of excitement haha.

I am halfway between Brunswick and Jacksonville! Thats awesome haha.

This is one of the younger ones that will hatch next weekend. I snatched him out and took a picture real quick. One of the ones hatching has it too? And a few of the other eggs.

I have never seen it on the shell of other types of eggs, but these duck eggs are very this and translucent. So I'm guessing the "black matter" is built up and causing that?

When candled two weeks ago, it started off looking like?? It's hard to explain. Maybe I'll find a picture on google that shows it while being candled.

I don't know about this one in the picture. But I do have one hatching that has it.

I have always only had it with bad eggs. So after the loss of power it made sense that it would start to show when candled. I haven't looked at them in two weeks since the storm, so I am just now noticing the color change on the shell. It's crazy one hatching has it??

The incubator smells pretty gross when you open the lid. Another reason I thought for sure they were all dead.

I have never had an incubation go like this, so I am pretty confused myself. So I'm just going to go with it and see what happens.

Okay so I googled it, and all I can find is this. It looks similar to the disconnected blood vessel. But dark black. Only started with a few spots.

No death ring two weeks ago when candled. But that is when I noticed the black connected spots.
