Hi my baby duckling hatched in the incubator 24hours ago it is eating drinking and chirping but is it normal for it not to be able to god it’s head up and walk at the same time ? (Keeps flopping over)

He could be just weak. Feed him very high protein food and maybe he will strengthen.
Thanks the pellets are he is having are high protein So do you suggest I just let him go or do something to assist him ?
 
After over 48 hours of the egg being peeped we helped him out a little, he was the only one that hatched his belly it’s quiet round but I don’t no if that’s a normal thing as this is the first time I’ve hatched a duck

That's why I asked. That often causes them to roll around a little more, and take a bit longer to move around well. As long as he is eating and drinking well, the duckling should improve within another day. :fl

I would also suggest keeping a close eye that he doesn't get stuck on his back and not able to flop back over.


Are the pellets small enough for a duckling to eat?

I'm also curious about this. Pellets that I buy here would be too large for a newly hatched duckling.
