Help!

What temperature is your brooder?
Too hot can be deadly in more ways than one.

Warm water and clean it's little butt. Sometimes if I need any soap I use baby shampoo. This is what I do with chicks that get it.

I don't know how hot it is but how do I treat pasty butt?

I let warm sink water run over their butt & gently rub the dried poopy feathers until it washes off. Then I towel dry & use a low heat & low fan speed setting on a blow dryer to dry the bird. I check baby chick butts at least 2 times a day. I’ve had less problems with pasty butt since I stopped using a heat lamp & started using the Mama’s heating pad. (Can u use the heating pad with quail?) Make sure your birds have plenty of cool water & or electrolytes available at all times. I like using the puppy pads instead of pine shavings that can get in the water. I sure hope your little guys are better!
