i have been incubating my duck eggs for 28 days now and yesterday we heard pipping and chirping about 9 o clock and there was an opening in the egg. But since hen there has been no noise and no movement. The crack in the egg is right to the duckling and feathers are visable. What should I do ?!?

Can you post a pic of the egg? Ducks will often take a break for up to 24 hours after pipping before unzipping. Keep a close eye on your humidity it should be about 65% during hatch.

If I can’t see any movement at all should I expect the worse?
Yes..If they don't look the same as the live moving embryos, they might have died?..You can wait or get rid of them. Sniff the eggs. Usually you can smell the decay.

If youre super worried about itturn on the shower and get your bathroom all steamy. Take the whole incu. Over there and candle the egg. You still might not see anything but it should tell you at least if the chick pipped the aircell first

For the future what would be the best way to incubate duck eggs and do you have any incubator recommendations?

I do mine at 99.8* and 40% humidity until lock down, then bump the humidity to 65%. I have a brinsea 380 with humidity pump.

btw
