Came home and found hen in coop with what looks like intestines hanging out!!!

Came home and found hen in coop with what looks like intestines hanging out!!!

Is she alive?

Can you post pics? Does this look like a wound, like a dog or other predator got hold of her, are are they hanging out of her vent, like they are prolapsed? Can you isolate her, like in a dog crate or something like that, and can you spray or rinse her with a saline solution to keep her clean? If you have gloves wear them, otherwise wash your hands good with soap before handling her to try not to contaminate her....

Sometimes a prolapse can look like intestines, so hopefully that's what you're seeing. If you are seeing intestines then my suggestion is to get her to a vet ASAP or euthanize her.

Please do post a picture before you do anything drastic.
