*HELP*

This is not a poultry related question.....but I need help.

I was with my dad, giving some goats some shots, and got stuck with a needle that had Ivomec in it. I squeezed out a little bit of the blood, wiped it off, and put a bandaid on it. Will I be alright?

If you haven't had one since you can remember, I would get one, yeah. But if it was a brand new needle I'm not so sure it's necessary. Tetanus is mostly from rust I think

Was it a clean needle, or had it been used already? if it was a sterile needle, shouldn't be an issue. If it had been used, there is a tiny chance of infection and/or tetanus. I'd check with your PCP is the needle wasn't sterile.

You'll be fine. If your tetanus is not up to date you should probably get one. Even if it is you might want to get another. Tetanus is caused by a bacteria, not rust.
