will a pond freeze if it’s at 22° for like 24 hours. i can’t get the ducks in the pond i wish i could but they aren’t my ducks. well they are but since i’m a kid my parents own them and said i have to leave them in the pond overnight :( :(

Water freezes when its 32 or less. But it all depends on how big the pond is. If it's a pond that has water that runs into it, it won't freeze as bad because the water is in motion. It would probably have to take a few nights of being under 32 for a big pond to freeze.

What's your pond look like?

I don't know if your ducks will be okay or not, but the wild ducks make it, right?

Or perhaps you could negotiate with your parents. Calmly offer to pay them in ample chores in exchange for bringing your ducks into the garage/coop/whatever keeps them safe.

Then don't get more pets until you are an adult with a job, your own house, and can make your own choices. My parents made poor choices for my childhood pets. I understand how upsetting it is.

wild ducks all left for the winter, and i can’t bring them in because they don’t want the mess (i can’t clean it while i’m at school) me and my twin sister originally were suppose to share the ducks but she decided she doesn’t want them so they are basically mine now
