I have a 3 year old Pekin duck who has never given me any problems. She is pretty shy and does not like people to touch her. Today she was standing in the corner away from the flock which I found weird. Then I took a closer look and her backside was covered in blood. We looked closer and it’s coming straight from her vent . She has not played an egg in a while. I put her in an isolated cage with food water and egg shells. I’m really worried and all I know is she is not egg bound and it’s not Coxcoddia.
Please help!

hi I just saw this thread and wonder how your duck is doing were you able to help her? I would have probably put her in a Epson salt lukewarm water soak and then inspected to see what’s going on even if her vent may not be prolapsed you still can put something on it like antibacterial ointment without painrelief or manuka honey . . ducks are really good at healing though . I have also heard of cases where a rat bites and attacks the vent of chickens,, and ducks I guess.? did you find out what it was? and how is your duck doing?

Hey! I forgot that I posted this but we did the baths and all of that jazz then left her for the night in quarantine and she passed that night. Thanks for the info though!
