We would like to keep chickens for eggs and "gardening" in New London Township/ Southern Chester County PA. And we can't seem to find information about laws in our area. Can anybody help us?

Each local municipality has different rules and delegated authority. My town has no specific ordinance about chickens. But if there is an issue regarding noise (rooster crowing), smell or unsightliness, nuisance ordinance can be invoked.

I would suggest checking with the zoning office first and ask for referral to departments that might be responsible. Don't be surprised if there isn't any.

Your Township only posts the index of ordinances and general disclaimers.

Section 8. Responsibility for Compilation of Land Use Ordinances. It shall
be the responsibility of the Secretary of the Township of New London to maintain an
up-to-date certified copy of the Township of New London Compilation of Land Use
Ordinances. This copy shall be the official copy of the Township of New London
Compilation of Land Uses Ordinances and shall be available for public inspection.

Looks like you have to visit or call the Secretary and look up your zone area and applicable land use ordinances. New London seems to have 4 zones, low, medium. high density residential and commercial zones.
