HELP!!!

Is it thick or kind of runny? If you go to wipe it off does it do so easily or seem like it is attached to something? Sorry for asking so many questions!

It came off easily . That's why I thought it was discharge .. It was watery .. But yellowish at first. .. I haven't been to the barn in a few hrs ;( I had to leave to pick my kids up and make dinner but ill be back in there shortly.. To check them out . I hope she's ok ... ;( idk how ima sleep tonight ;(

Well, If you can let me know how she is when you check on her. Then we shall discus the course of action.

Hey there! Okay so I was just doing more research on it (amazing just how little info about this problem is !!!!) and I found two more possible solutions.

The first thing is to put molasses in the water as that is a natural laxative.

The other thing would be to take a cotton swab with some olive oil or Vaseline and swab it all around a little inside the ducklings vent. It may need to be done a few times and she most likely won't like it very much.

And then the other thing of course is to continue soaking her in warm warmer the better) water.

Ok I checked on her and she's still alive . It's still the same yellowish discharge . But other than that alert and drinking

Well that's good! I hope the above advice helps a little. Thanks for letting me know! We just have to hope she makes it through the night!

That's what I'm hoping ! It's 9:28 pm here and I have em in the tub for the 2nd time today she's not liking it much but if she makes it thru the night and still has problems ill do that tomorrow ! Thanks so much!

Oh my Gosh, we are going through the same thing with our Khaki Campbell Duckling! I posted a new thread before I found this one. We will be watching this closely, and if we figure anything out on our end, we will let you know.

Good luck with your little Duck! (Yes, ours is more than just a duck to us too.)
