I dont think I would be able to butcher them.... Plus you can have a lot more quail per chicken/geese especially geese!

There are no more feathered critters in my house and I just cleaned up after then for the last time

Until the next batch hatches, lol It will be warmer then so they can go out after a few days

I'm trying to start out small then work my way up to chickens. I can kill fish with no problem but warm blooded animals....well, thats another story, unless they are human. I had to shoot a deer one time at work and I felt bad for a week. I thought I was going to He11 for killing one of God's little fuzzy creatures. I know that's why they are here but it doesnt make it any easier for me. I do not have issues with other people killing animals as long as they make use of the animal instead of leaving it rot and just take the horns

Justme, my little ones are still in the brooder, but they are in the OUTSIDE brooder now.
Duck, sorry you had your nap interrupted.

Well, someone came and took 3 of my little roosters today-I miss them, but they are going to a place where they have more lady friends. The people called me on their way home and told me they had the boys wrapped in a towel, sitting on the seat between them. They said they loved them already. I could see them before they left taking pictures of the boys with their cell phones. Makes me feel good knowing they went to a great home.
