They are actually really easy to care for and they don't eat much at all. And besides, they're so darn cute, it totally makes up for any of the other stuff(like poo, quacking, etc. )

Ah, Keith couldn't care less about the noise - I do have the roos remember - or the poo or the cost of feed. He knows the feed is cheaper than a shrink would be for me. He's mainly worried that I'm helping the chickens in their quest for world domination.

Think I'll wait a few days to tell him about all the styrofoam insulation the chickens ate off the faucet housing today though.

That's why mine doesn't say anything-they calm me and are great therapy.
My chickens did that, too this winter-maniacs!

I lived in cincinnati in a town called west chester. I lived in Kentucky/Tennessee with the 101st screaming eagles while in the army. BEAUTIFUL area...

I know right where you were, too.
My remaining family is now RIGHT THERE. My nieces husband actually works on the base.

I go up there a few times a year to visit and it really is lovely.
And my grandparent lived in Cincinnati-not a fan of that city, too much.

Missed this comment from ya.... Was not a big fan of cincinnati but west chester was a nice area. And i saw so many bald eagles in the tennessee area. So green in the spring and summer. Just a nice area. We had lived in Clarksville and Hopkinsville. I miss it sometimes....

I'll be heading to Clarksville in April-that's how Gritsar is gonna get her eggs or ducklings-making a stopover in Arkansas.

Hi everyone. I hope you have had a good day the past couple of days. My internet crapped out on me and didn't come back up until late in the evening (after I called them for the umpteenth time) but then I got a severe migraine and went to bed. I am better now other than a bad case of insomnia. I've been up since 1:30 after I finally fell asleep last night around 10ish. Anyway, now I have my internet back up and so I can start looking at auctions again. I have 7 eggs in lockdown and today is day 21 so hopefully we get some action today. These are the EE's that I got from the lady that so many of them were clear. They are kind of hard to candle so I hope the embryo's are viable. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and let you guys know that I didn't fall off the planet lol

Morning everyone.
Trying to get everything ready to go to the tax prep this morning-I'll be glad when this is over.
ady, can't wait to see pics-hopefully today of the ducks!
Have a good one all!

Sonja glad your back with us! I love lockdown days I sure hope you see some action today too! And I'm sorry about your insomnia and migrane! I have migranes too so I know how unpleasant they can be....
East I am excited too! I'm trying to not get super excited BC I'm afraid it will fall through. Craigslist people can be flaky. When are you getting your birds again?
