I am so sorry about Mrs. Piglet
I lost the 2 babies that were in the wrong position over night. The other 7 are still alive. I moistened the membranes and got the wing out on all but 1 this morning. I didn;t have time to get head out so I will have to do that tonight. 1 or 2 of them were really moving and pushing so hopefully they are close to read to come out. 1 of them looks like a gray (this one had the tiny aircell and I couldn't get the wing out yet) and the rest are eiter blue fawn or butterscotch. One of the eggs is bigger so I think it could be a mini silver appleyard.
Sorry you lost the 2, justme, but I'm glad the others seem to be doing OK.
This Call duck hatching ain't for the faint of heart. Sonja is a Call duck hatching machine!
The first ducking to hatch that came from OUR birds is a beautiful little White with a TEENY bill and rolls over on it's back a lot(should bode well for body conformation). I have that one GIANT Rouen in the brooder with the teeny Calls and he thinks those are his babies. He is adorable-he snuggles with them and is trying to show them how to eat.
When the Rouen hatched Sunday night, he came out running. By yesterday morning, he was jumping out of the lowest tray of the incubator into the floor and CLIMBING BACK IN AGAIN. It was insane. My husband didn't believe me until he saw him do it yesterday evening. He's a mess

Adorable
That rouen sounds adorable
You aren't kidding on the not for the faint of heart! It's a good thing I have a strong stomach because the inside of eggs is
And so many of them do't make it
Maybe we should just send Sonja all of our eggs to hatch, lol
