Those work better for metal than wood.It is a combo blade, metal and wood.
My biggest prob with the sawzall is having to use two hands to control it,
then having to brace or clamp down whatever I am cutting...can get tricky.

Jim , i did try a pry bar and hammer but it is really more work than i want to do. Sawing is so easy. Alternately i though of using a punch on the nails. If that set goes on sale i will nab one.
Having fun with my woodburning tool. Made a sign for the house. Pics later, need to go feed and water.
The center is the hardest part to do , lol. Here is my sign. Not stained yet.a prybar is cumbersome.
a monkey paw is small and easy to use. Once you get the nail head up a bit, then use the pry bar. but usually you can complete the pull with the monkey paw. unless the nail is too long..
If you just remove the nails from the center of the board, then cut both ends off. you will end up with most of the length minus a couple of inches..
Thanks, courtesy of a stencil i bought. Hubby likes plainer letters, so i am winging it on the "Swing" sign.I love the "font"/style of the letters!
