and I have 3 cordless sawsalls .. the first one was a cheapy and is junk, the 2nd one was in a black and decker kit and then I found a used dewalt... love them.. used them as a chainsaw too....until I got a cordless chainsaw.

good cold snowy morning, 24F

Nobody could be less ready for winter than I am.
I have water hoses running in 3 directions from the house. I did manage to disconnect them, though.

still have some of the old lean to mess to clean up.

lawn mower and tiller to put away..

supposed to get up to 45F next week. If I miss that window, I will be sunk for sure.

I am close to ready for Winter, but there are things to put away in the basement for the season.
I was down there all day yesterday Purging stuff to GoodWill and throwing out all the magazines I have saved over the years...

I did not want to look at the Temp this morning, Frost on everything was enough ;)

@Molpet The Cordless Chain Saw, which do you have and do you find it WORKS well enough? I have the kobalt mower cordless but didn't like the cordless trimmer from them so just bought a $24 corded cheap thing that works well enough for the 2 times a year I weedwack. While I don't NEED a chainsaw, I heard the cordless ones stink.

used them as a chainsaw too
Ha! Was thinking yesterday one of the best things I did with my sawzall was split a huge chunk of ornamental grass. After wrestling with the thing for an hour or more, and breaking my garden fork handle, my buddy suggested the sawzall (she didn't know what it was called but her hubby and I had used one on a recent project). Put the longest wood blade(~8") and it cut that root ball apart like nobodies business!!
Was a 'lifesaver' that day..and the following ones as I had three 2' diameter plants to dig up and split.

Ha again!! Ain't that the truth!!

Chicken Waterer Heater installed this morning.
CHECK!
Now to see that it works over the next 48hrs <crossesfingers>

I have an electric chainsaw..
awesome little thing.
for a couple of winters when I was burning wood in my stove, I cut all of my firewood with it.. it never ran out of gas. LOL still works very well when I need it.

I bought it when I was building a lot of decks. great for cutting 6x6's and 2x10
treated joists and beams.

I wonder if you could rig up a cordless on a pole to trim high branches.
I have about 80 black walnut trees that I am grooming for veneer logs.. I am as high as I can reach with the gas chainsaw..
and I think if I stretched out enough electric cord to reach, the electric saw wouldn't work.

Wendy is going home today.
I penned Zeke in with her all day yesterday.
I think the honeymoon is over.

Now that I have the table saw all tuned, I am thinking again about building a whole wall of shelves along the stair well..
I have sketched plans for it a few times over the years. I have a pretty good idea of what I want..
I will build a TV alcove behind it and above the stairs while I am at it..
I did that in one of the houses I built years ago and I liked it.. good use for otherwise wasted space..

My husband loves his electric chain saw. I think that was the one he was using when he fell out of the tree. He just bought another extension cord for it.
Meanwhile, i will be looking for a better woodburning tool. It is too ugly outside to be out there today so i will be doing dishes etc.Yuck.

I would need about 300 feet of cord to reach to the trees. I think I would have only a trickle of juice at the end of that.
