I would need about 300 feet of cord to reach to the trees. I think I would have only a trickle of juice at the end of that.

Hard to say. I had extension cords running all over the 10 acres in TN but i was just running lights to the coops. Heavy duty cords might work, but they are pricey. Maybe a portable generator?

My husband has a sharpener i bought him but he prefers the dremel for that.

I like to had file. It gives me a break from the work.
as long as I don't hit a rock or something.
it takes about 10 minutes to touch up the teeth..
we had a place in town where they could recondition a chain. but somebody stole their machine and they never replaced it.

GOOD chilly wisconsin morning. 5F
if this cold weather is going to persist, I am going to have to start wearing long pants ..
there is no incentive to go outside, for me.
I am sure glad I got rid of all the chickens for the winter.

Wendy (the bred dog) did not go home yesterday.
the girls did not want to drive the slippery roads to come get her. lots of cars in the ditches ..

I am thinking of making a tutorial of the chicken feeder. I can do that in the house where it is warm..

I tried to lead the guineas into the new coop and lure them in with scratch today. I felt like the pied piper! They did follow me, and all but two went in. I had it all set up with water and all. Then the dog came along and the last 2 left. Then the rest came out and i missed my chance. Maybe tomorrow. I hate to get all scratched up catching them and carrying them down there.
