I would love to make a few more quail cages. But between the pinched nerve and cold weather, not much getting done. My sinus infection has moved into my ear. I still have a tube in my ear drum and liquid leak out. Creepy.

take care of yourself, you might be able to tough it through a job or two, but if you wait until you mend a bit, you will more than make up for lost time.. consider it a miserable vacation.
I learned something about the common
3 in 1 oil. it has a working range of
--100F up to +500F .. so today I oiled my choke cable on the tractor with it..
It was invented in 1905 for use on bikes.

I found a tree in a pot that i can plant after Christmas! I love it!
Here it is...

Hubby thinks i spent too much, $135. I figure if we keep it in a pot for a while, we can use it several years.

Looks like a nice spruce tree. Will you bring it in the house and decorate it for xmas?
Not sure how healthy it will stay in that pot for more than just this year,
I wonder how long it's been in that pot...it's probably already root bound.
Buddy of mine used to get potted evergreens for xmas,
but they planted them in the ground before new years.

Well, Solstice is tomorrow, the beginning of winter.
Been really warm and no snow for a good couple weeks now.
Kinda weird, but am not missing the moving of snow.

Nice tree
I am way too frugal to spend that much though.

50f here yesterday and finally the ground wasn't greasy. So I cleaned the gutters on the sloped ground sides on the house. This fall had been July weather in September and then Dec weather in Oct, Nov. Or the ground was too wet.... I am getting too old for this tricky ladder stuff lol not bad on level ground. It will kill me to hire someone to do something I should be able to do. Might kill me if I don't though.

come come children, you are not old, yet.
but everything you say is true.
It seems like they are adding a few pounds into every kind of feed sack..
Ladders don't bother me. but I spent many years climbing them.. just make sure it is set soundly each time..
the tree in the pot is a good idea. plant it close to the house and at a window where you can see it clearly from inside. decorate it from now on. We husbands always think wives spend too much. after 55 years, I don't bother to even mention it anymore I don't mind moving snow,, but not doing it is still better.
yesterday I had my annual pacemaker check up.. we are doing fine. the technician said that the device is not having to do much as my heart is working good..
the battery is good for 4 more years.
then they will cut the old device out and put in a new one. they can't charge the battery and it is internally mounted inside the device.

Yes, it is inside now. It is actually in a burlap ball. Lots of room for fresh dirt in the pot.

I have a ladder that bucks me off on purpose! I screwed a board to two legs to make it more stable. Tried to get a new ladder black friday but they were sold out.
