Not too many skeeters around here now.
but 8am and 80° + 80% is oppressive.

We use mousetraps to catch skeeters here in New Jersey.
75° and 84% at the moment. Miserable.

yeah, 80F + here, too. I was going to move the lawn mower, dead battery. gave my extension cord to GS this morning, so I had to fix an end on another one for me.

DD is having 16 yards of potting soil delivered on Friday. I told her to have them drive along the edge of the soybean field to get it back to where she is going to need it.
Otherwise I would have to haul it back there a bucket at a time with the tractor.
we tried mouse traps for mosquitoes here, too.. but they kept flying away with them.

Humidity and heat are my least favourite combination..:sick
Are you guys expecting to get worse before it gets better?
I know here in Aus we had temperatures of up to 43C (109F) last summer. Made the bitumen in the roads kinda sticky.:(

P.S. Love the mosquito comments!:lau

good morning,
went out and put the charger on the lawn mower battery. It was at 55% charge, I like it a little higher.
went down with the tractor and ripped up a patch of ground for a couple of grape vines I want to plant. after two rainstorms in two days, the ground was a bit wet. got the tractor stuck. i will wait a day or so and maybe it will dry enough to drive out. otherwise I will pull on it with the pickup truck.
good luck with the lymes.. we had a dog that got that. not very pleasant .

Is that air temps?
Is it humid there too?

The humidity is what drives the heat index up.
They call it the 'feels like' temp...feels like sh!t is what it feels like.:gig

Heat index forecast to be 105 today and 108 tomorrow...then a cool down.
Was nice and cloudy yesterday, a relief, with a thunderboomer and 0.2" of rain.. but still humid.
Got the crippled old dog into the tub, been dreading this, but it went well so now that he's clean I can use the clippers on him. No AC here so down into the basement for a butcher the barber session then maybe setup a 'wading' pool out back in the shade.

I don't know if dropping the price does that much good.
no matter how much you are asking, the buyer is going to offer you less.
I made that mistake on a spec house.
after the people bought it, they told me that they watched the ad for months.. that didn't make me feel very good..
we are right at the verge of a big storm. It might have a tornado in it.
about 80 miles north, they have reported about 35 cars with windshields knocked out by hail.. most of the damage so far is along highway 8. I am just 5 miles north of highway 29..
