No worries about me being tempted.
If I ever would get another dog, it would be one of those nasty tempered ones that I could carry around in my pocket..

IDK about the puppy mill(ish) thing.
they look to be purebreds.
I could have been considered a puppy mill when I was selling Maremma LGD's.
just because I was not associated with a large organization.
However I did have purebred , unrelated parents, and I had a useful working dog product.
I did refuse to sell to several people because of where they lived, and to one man who had the meanest dog I ever met. I didn't want any of my dogs turning into killers..
I will have to tell you the story of "Angel" someday..

They might be and may be perfectly bred and raised.
My bias' against...
miniaturized dogs, the amish in general and their puppy mills in particular
...may be clouding my judgement.
I've heard things myself about amish puppymills. I would insist on seeing the conditions with my own eyes at this point.

I am so sorry for your loss Jim, they always trust us to do the right thing and that's what you did.:hugs

That is beautiful Cap, is it a dresser?

I've been in a cooking frenzy lately. I made another pot of chili and one of navy bean soup and about twelve pounds of candied walnuts and pecans. Oh and just about to make a third banana bread but I think cinnamon pecan rolls sound like a great idea too.

Between losing a lot of weight and watching the Great British Baking Show, I think I know why I keep cooking. :D

I understand about the Amish puppy mills.
I too would be cautious.
Some Amish are great horse trainers, but I have heard horror stories about some of their techniques.. Not all, but some.
My former neighbor , not Amish, had Clydesdale horses. He drove them in competition. He told me about some things he did to train them.. I lost all respect for him.
today I took one of the sheet pans and scraped every bit of black out of every nook and cranny. steel wooled the whole thing inside and out. really shined it up.. that's how bored I was.. LOL
