cappy, don't push it too hard. rest is the major thing you need to recover.
the guy who is coming for two pups can't make it. four of his family are down with the flu.
this is a scary flu this year..

I am going to make a jig for the disc sander for sharpening drill bits. I saw one on utube that I like. I am going to give it a tweak of my own to make it a little more user friendly..
I have free handed sharpening drill bits in the past with a hit or miss result.
art, I saw you on HT. liked your comment about monster chickens. I did not post a reply. I figure if you want more chicken, just cook two of them..

HI all,
I just listed a puppy on Puppy Find . com.
that's about all I got accomplished today so
far..
two more days of balmy weather and then back into the deep freeze fo at least a week

where we park our cars is icy and treacherous.

I am getting like cappy, spring can't come soon enough to suit me..

we bought a new microwave yesterday.
Annie pointed out to me that this is the first one we bought new from a store..
our grandson is taking the old one to where he works. theirs quit completely.
this one still works. don't ask me why she needed a new one..
I bought two half-sheets of good grade 1/2" plywood. going to make a new sled for the table saw, and probably a small sled, too..
have to find a couple pieces of quarter sawn oak or maple to make the runners out of..

I tried to work in the shop today but nothing was working right so i gave up. Brain not working right i guess. Came in and had a nap. Now i am craving chocolate.
My Polish pullets have started laying, got 2 eggs from them!
 
all I got done was a runner for the disc sander table. I found a gnarly piece of oak. No definite grain, should hold it's shape and not swell with humidity change.
I can't locate my drafting adjustable angle triangle. I need to make 31 degree cuts..
I might have to trust the gauge on the miter saw..
tomorrow is shot. taking papers to the tax prepare-er.

I don't know of anybody locally with the flu.
probably too cold, yet.

There was a 7 year old child in our local hospital that was treated for flu. They sent him home and he died. How terrible!
I even took a nap today after sleeping in this morning. Stay healthy everyone!
 
the ground hog predicted six more weeks of winter , or was it six more weeks until spring.
that always confuses me..

going to the bone crusher today.
he extended my treatment out to two weeks.. I held up quite well, but I feel that I could use a good back crack..
now if only I could get rid of the arthritis in my hips.....
I have a plan for my drill sharpener sketched out. but it is way too cold out to work in an unheated shop.. and I don't feel like lighting a fire..
another week of temps from minus 10 up to the teens.. I hope that will be the end of it, then..

not too much flu talk locally.. I really think the sub zero temps help.. but what will happen when it starts to warm up.. who knows?
 
Winter is back around here for sure!...temps in teens, a couple more inches of snow over night, with more to come in a few days.

I heard Phil saw his shadow and that means....
....it was sunny in Punxsutawney, and that's all it means. :D
 
It got way up to 5 above today.

I am really P.O.'d at Google Chrome..
this morning I had a query on my computer if I would recommend them to a friend.
graded from 0 to 10..
I gave them a 0 .
then it asked why I gave that 0..
So I told them. they have a message blocking all but the top item on my files list.
that is the "inbox" note.
well, I came home just now and turned on the puter. guess what ? they moved their message box up and not I can't get at ANY of my files.. time to go searching for a new provider..
spiteful SOB's...

I turned on the electric heater in the shop.
just curious how it will feel in there tomorrow.
I don't need it toasty warm, just warm enough to work without mittens on.
I am anxious to get the pieces cut for my drill jig..
