Cappy, surgery ?? never fun..
I was wondering if you would get a lot of rain,
I guess the answer is yes.. we got over 3 inches here, but not all in one or two days.. still our river is just overflowing by a couple of feet..

That feeder is pretty cool! ...but those gaps bug me,
can you turn that purple piece around so gaps are at the top?
What is that purple piece, how big are the holes?

How far from the path of Michael are you?

Just a bit of plastic surgery on my eyes, no big deal.
They said up to 6" of rain and we are under tornado warning. Roanoke river is up 19 feet, second highest flooding on record there. The rain just let up, i hope it is done.

The piece of plastic is from a milk carton type box that i cut with a circular saw. Its actually pink. Yeah, i can turn it around. Sometimes the plastic splits in unplanned places. The holes are plenty big for quail. I already have one in use.

Jig saw might be better for that kind of cut...safer too.

good wisconsin morning,
finally quit raining here,, now we are bracing for snow.. LOL
Yesterday I went and cut all of the air layers off and brought them into the house in a bucket. I didn't want them to freeze as it got down to 26F here last night.
If you have some thin plastic or aluminum to rip, you can turn a fine tooth blade backwards in a circular saw. that cuts down the tendency of the teeth catching on the material..
Hope your surgery goes well, Cappy..
