Sweet!!! Congrats!!
Is this your first house purchase?
No we bought our current home about 20 years ago and it's been lovely but it was built around 1900 so we're looking forward to a new home with warranties on everything and plenty of electric outlets...and bigger bathrooms...and bigger closets...and...

I am 90% satisfied with my main coop.
but if I had to do it all over, I would have a concrete floor and a good concrete wall.
an overhead door for my tractor and front loader to fit through. then I could drive in and scrape the floor with the loader.
the concrete wall opposite the door would be solid enough to take it if I bumped into it with the loader..

There is already 4' rolled stock fencing along the train side and the plan is to hedgerow natives (vine maples, native roses, oceanspray, and the like) and fill in as needed with ferns and native flowers to give us screening and bring in native pollinators. The vine maples and native roses can be propagated with cuttings so we'll save some money there, and we can collect natives (with a permit) so we'll know they are acclimatised for the area.

I will be placing bumblebee (one of the best tomato pollinators there is) nesting boxes (not really boxes more nest holes) inter-spaced along the hedgerow with mason bee (great pollinators for early blooming fruit trees) boxes spaced around the entire property.

I'll natter on endlessly on the gardening and other plans given half a chance. Did I mention the plans for the greenhouse?:celebrate
Sounds exciting!

We are beside ourselves! I've been using a computer game (Sims 4) to lay out the house, shed, raised beds, dwarf fruit trees, coops, hutches... and there I go again. Suffice it to say we are totally losing our minds with excitement and anticipation.
:duc:ya:clap:wee:jumpy:bun:yesss::celebrate
We want before and after pictures please!

Have no fear, we plan to take pictures starting the 28th (when we close) and running clear through the main build. And then the add on projects as we go.

Yup, we're even using a print screen as a diagram of our house and shed placement plans to go with the official plans we need for the permits.
