I got the ice too. Winds are coming this afternoon with freezing rain.
Are you getting the freezing fog?

There's bit of fog rising with temps.
The wind is picking up and crackling the ice on the trees....sounds eerie.
Hoping temps rise enough with the wind to bust off some of the ice before the snow arrive. My run mesh is covered in ice and it ain't breaking off with shovel whacks.

good morning,
we have all of 7" already and it is still coming down.
it is real fine and no wind. this kind of snow packs hard.
I don't think we had any freezing rain before it started snowing. The last time I checked it last night was at 11PM and it hadn't started yet.
by 7AM we had about 8 inches.
everything is cancelled. they don't want anybody driving on the roads.
In the last snow there was a 40+ car/semi pile up west of us. and another 30+ just 5 miles east of us on I 39/51. nobody got killed in either incident.
Annie saw one car in the ditch, upside down.
What's wrong with people ? SLOW DOWN !!

this is what it looked like this morning,
I was going to start Ollie up, but then Bob showed up with the pick up and plowed.
It snowed another inch since he got done plowing an hour ago. still coming down.

We are lucky in VA, it is only raining here.
The guy did buy the guineas, so i have 7 left. Now if i could just sell the chickens i want to get rid of.

Cold windy with rain. Late for winter but we seem to be having it now.

Gonna be another one of those move the 6" snow (despite the nasty wind) before it gets soggy when it hits 42° tomorrow days. SMH. Wonder how that's gonna go on the driveway with the 1/4" of ice underneath?

Boy, I wish we had something like around here!

Snow removal went great, snow and ground was freakishly warm even at 25°.
Most the ice underneath was 'rotten', so tire chains broke it up.
