Then installed it in the coop. Supposed to go down to 27° tonight.

It was -8F when I went to bed. supposed to go down to -18F by 8 AM.
Frankie is an old trooper, she has never left us a surprise in the house.. With 3 adults here, she always has somebody to let her out
lately I have cold feet. they don't feel cold to the hand, ..I think it is my blood thinner playing tricks on me.
before blood thinner, I used to stick my feet out from under the covers..
the VA eye appointment went well. they are going to send me a new pair of glasses.
it is supposed to fix up my split vision..

Maybe take a pillow and a sleeping bag?
Good idea. There are a couple of couches scattered around the office so we'd have that anyway.

The weather warnings look to me to be overblown again though. Only a dusting this morning and the streets look clear. Might be a banana belt effect, several coworkers have much more than we do.

I need to make an appointment for new glasses myself. My vision is so poor that I think I need quadfocals at this point.

I kept a air mattress at work. along with a travel pillow and sheets :lau
I worked 3:30 pm until midnight and then if it snowed started snow removal at 2 am to 8 am. Helped to get a couple of hours of at least laying down

for 4 years I drove 40 miles to work every day
I never missed a day, I was late a few times.
More than once after it snowed, I made it even though the roads weren't plowed yet.
One particular day I showed up at work while the people who lived right in town couldn't make it in..
a couple of times I went to a motel rather than driving home in a blizzard in the dark.
it was -14F at 8AM might make it above zero by 3PM. looking for +3F then.
1" to 3" on Sunday forecast.
about 6" on Tuesday.
Bob , who is plowing for us is worried that he won't have any place to push the snow.
I figure we have 3 snowfalls of space left.
that should be enough..

One very snowy morning I arrived at work and the gate was still locked so I figured the guy that normally unlocked it was stuck in the snow somewhere so I opened the gate parked the car and went in to my desk and worked for a hour or so until it finally occurred to me that no one else was arriving. Turned out they had posted on the snowphone that the office was closed. I was pretty new and hadn't thought to check. Turns out you can get a lot of work done with no emails or phone calls.

yep, I worked at a window mfg company.
they had about 20 draftsmen on the day shift.
I and 3 others were on the night shift, 4PM to midnight. we had a supervisor. he left us alone pretty much.
I think the four of us got more output per man than the dayshifters did. No big brass running around, no phones. etc.
it is at today's high right now.
+8F..
I was going to go to a friend's house and play cards, but one couple were in a car accident. nobody got hurt, but their pickup truck has no headlights anymore..
some people will do just about anything to keep from getting beat at cards from me LOL

yup, I was. I tried CAD/CAM but I was not trained in it and never got even close to being good at it.
I worked at a window manufacturer and at a modular home mfgr. hated both jobs.
I worked at a place where we made parts catalogs for a heavy equipment mfgr.
I liked that job..
when I went into the building trade , self employed,I drew all of my own house plans
