Helpful hints for building coops

Hi all,
Yesterday Annie and I drove to Clintonville to attend the
9th annual byc wisc cheeseheads chicken stock
it is a Fri to Sun get together at a campground.
we always have a great time..
today I worked on the drag . got it ready to drag the corn patch as soon as it dries up ..
I took the hilling discs off, and added some
spring teeth..
after I get it dragged, I will put the hilling discs back on..
I will attempt to send pictures.
first the drag set up.
then the hillling disc setup.

Wow, lots of equipment! I use a shovel and a rake.
So happy , with my son, his wife and baby here I am getting quality grandma time in.
My chicks are in the mail, and I get my new pup Saturday!

actually all that equipment is just reconfiguration of the two tool bars.
it started out as a two row cultivator.
then I add spring teeth, remove spring teeth,
and add and remove the hilling discs.
i use it like a chisel plow to work up the garden. then I do the teeth configuration for the next step etc etc..
today I want to get the corn plot dragged.
then I want to form the raised beds and plant the 4 rows of corn.
I wanted to wait a couple more days, but they are saying rain for tonight. that would mean waiting until next Saturday before I could do anything.. time is running out..
I got a bunch of cherry cuttings from a friend . I will try rooting them. some are from cherry bushes and some are from trees..
I made a self watering bucket to start them in. never did it this way before..

eta: I got the dragging and hilling done.
It did not rain. so maybe today it will be dry enough to push the
corn planter down the rows..

I think with the weather being nice everyone has been outside and are too tired to type.

I been busy too, and dealing with some health issues... not much of a chatter anyway.
Looks like Cappy spends most her time on other chat threads.

I am sorry, no insult intended. Just been busy with life. My son and family went home Sunday. Got my puppy Saturday, she keeps me busy every walking hour. In fact, she woke me at 7 am today. So far behind in chores it is crazy.
I did get a new cage finished yesterday. Today my shipped chicks go outside.

Life is stretching my time online thin. Not spending much time doing that. Trying to finish the wedding quilt before the ceremony!
