I am done planting, pole beans, corn, buttercup squash and tomatoes.
supposed to rain tonight. so I didn't water in the squash or pole beans.. now just watch the rain bypass us..
I used to be able to plant the whole garden in a single day. now I struggle to do just one row..
getting old and sore really sucks..
I did luck out on one thing. the tractor started on it's own. I left it in the hot sun.
it probably dried out and the heat helped the battery to kick out enough voltage.

I still have one raised bed left to plant. And I always have flowers waiting to be planted.

The open spot on the bottom will have a nest box, and the open part on the top will have hardware cloth.

Hi all, taking a break.
I drove the lawn mower down to get the mail, and on the way back I mowed about a half acre of grass. all stuff that wasn't mowed at all, or just once so far this year
I found a patch of comfry, some rhubarb, a lilac bush and a whole bunch of grapes that look like they need stakes
the neighbor was in my field with a very large tractor and a big set of discs
He got it stuck in the low spot that is almost always wet. He said it looked dry.
soon one of the boys showed up with even a larger tractor. 4 sets of duals and 4WD. that tractor could have ate the smaller one. LOL

lots of treasures you found, hope you gets some grapes... coons get mine so I expanded the chicken yard so they can have them instead... they are wine grapes and only 1 plant left from 1950's anyway

How bad did they tear the field up....So instead of a wet spot you now have a pond LOL

actually the field is oK. they kept the towing tractor hooked up and it towed the smaller tractor and the discs around to finish the job.
it went over the wet spot as if it was just a puddle in the driveway..
I am going to have to do some major weeding ans sorting and staking those grape vines.. the roots are not in nice straight rows.
I will have to get real inventive to straighten out that mess.
the vines are old and well established.
In prior years the chickens got most of the grapes. now it is my turn. they are concord.
