Art, I feel bad for you having to dig a grave.
Do you plan on getting another dog ?
Thanks. It's OK, better than sending off for cremation, will be part of the grieving process that I can 'control'.

Nope...(well, never say never)...but, no, I don't want another '3yo' either(exactly!),
and just don't have it in me to be responsible for another beating heart.

If you want a fire to burn hotter, blow air at it with a fan.
In a crematoriam the temperature they use is 1500 F. they use natural gas or propane.
That's good to know, but the burn pile is 600 ft from electricity and 50 ft from woods on 3 sides. I usually burn on calm days. But if there was snow I could burn on a Windy day...

Looks it's gonna be a beautiful weekend, warm, dry, and partly sunny.
Too bad I have to spend it digging a dog grave.
Hope I can protect it from the mostly rainy weather forecast between now and DD-Day.
Got a tarp that can be folded over for dirt.
Garden cart turned upside down over hole,
don't want anything stumbling in there especially Rascal.<gulp>
Sorry about the dog!

I have been working on the roof of the run.

Tin is all secure, the wire is half on, and I need another foot of wire attached to that.

as of 9pm the free toilet has left the premises .
my burn pile is a long way from trees and buildings. I wait for windy days to burn.
I cremated two dogs with the burn pile.
I don't plan on doing any more.
I am trying to cut back on the burn pile, but storms blowing down trees just upset my plans.
