Boots, look at the bright side. when your planting soil gets back, at least it will be dry.
the trouble with taking an AC unit out is that is when you really need something to cool you off.
I worked in the garage again. Will it never end ? I had one of those wasps buzzing around my head off and on. I went to sit down and placed my hand on the arm rest of the chair. Never saw that wasp sitting there. It stung me good, right in the palm of my hand. that was four hours ago. It still hurts like it just happened. I took a Benadryl. didn't seem to do a thing for the pain. but I did get a nap out of it..
You know, you can mount a window AC directly into the wall..Then just leave it there for ever..

The AC in the bedroom stays year-round , I only need this one every couple of years.... this year was the 3rd time since 2002

Thinking of you @aart :hugs
We lowered our greyhound in using a sheet and wrapped it around her like a shroud went she went to her final rest. Kind of like tucking her into bed.
Thanks.
That's basically my idea, using ends of blanket as handles to lower him down.
We're both old and creaky too tho, hope we can do it without falling in. :gig<gallowshumor>
Am just trying to stay 'cheerful' so as not to make him anxious.
I can let all the sad out afterwards.

Here is my collection of old saws.
No, I never have used any of them.
We salvaged these out of Annie's grandpa's barn when they tore it down.

Art, glad it went well.
Today Annie asked me if I could have Frankie put down. I said , yes, but let's wait until she gets sick or something..
My hand is still itching from the bee sting. but it is getting better. Benidryl did nothing.
I wasn't going to work in the garage because cold makes the hand hurt.
I went out anyway just to move one pail of tip ups into the chicken coop.
Annie was out there already. she asked for help for this and that and before ya knew it a couple of hours had passed.
I set up a couple of saw horses with an old wooden flush door slab on it. I dumped a box of mixed item onto the table. It took only a few minutes and I had the junk sorted into the trash and the rest of the stuff into their proper containers.
we found out why we couldn't move that large plastic cooler. I had my tractor tire chains in there. I put one chain into a 3 gallon plastic bucket and the other one in another pail. each chain weighs near 100#
supposed to snow 2 to 3 inches tonight.
it will melt by tomorrow night.
