Annie coming home tomorrow?

yup, going after at 11am.. She has been cooped up for weeks, so I figured we would go for a fish fry at our favorite Mexican restaurant.
Today for occupational therapy , she had to make a toasted cheese sandwich. She said that was the first decent she had to eat in weeks.. she has lost about 15 pounds. I told her to stay for another 10.

IDK about the puppy mill(ish) thing.
they look to be purebreds.
I could have been considered a puppy mill when I was selling Maremma LGD's.
just because I was not associated with a large organization.
However I did have purebred , unrelated parents, and I had a useful working dog product.
I did refuse to sell to several people because of where they lived, and to one man who had the meanest dog I ever met. I didn't want any of my dogs turning into killers..
I will have to tell you the story of "Angel" someday..
......jiminwisc.....
I sold one of my sheltie pups to a priest. The dog saved his life by waking him up when the rectory was burning.

I've heard things myself about amish puppymills. I would insist on seeing the conditions with my own eyes at this point.

I am so sorry for your loss Jim, they always trust us to do the right thing and that's what you did.:hugs

That is beautiful Cap, is it a dresser?

I've been in a cooking frenzy lately. I made another pot of chili and one of navy bean soup and about twelve pounds of candied walnuts and pecans. Oh and just about to make a third banana bread but I think cinnamon pecan rolls sound like a great idea too.

Between losing a lot of weight and watching the Great British Baking Show, I think I know why I keep cooking. :D
The furniture piece is a wash stand. They used a pitcher and bowl to wash hands before running water was installed in homes. It is over 100 years old. I love it!

It's beautiful, it reminds me of those old fashioned tables (revolutionary era I think) that they had for making bread.

Big storm here last couple of days, it took down the pavilion. I didn't expect it to survive the winter (one of those easy put up collapsible canvas things) but DP wanted to give it a shot. The cover stayed in the yard (I'd tied it down tight) but the frame is a collapsed mess. Maybe someone collection metal will want it. No other damage to the property though and the power stayed on so I feel good.
