Coons can go down the hanger
Is it on a post or hanging from a tree or....???
They hang from a 6' iron rod that has 2 brackets for hummingbird or other bird feeders. A squirrel can climb the rod but I can't imagine a raccoon making it. Whatever it is is strong enough to bend the brass bar in the middle of the feeder. Mainly hoping it isn't a human creeping around the house at night.

We(or *I*) need pics...or maybe just wait and see what your spy cam sees.
I vote coon.

There are certainly coons enough in the area so that is a good possibility.

Got 4 eggs today!!

Congratulations!

We are planning the raised beds plantings (8 8'x4' beds) and ordering seed, so exciting! Getting my plans done for the coop and a local builders supply will get us any chicks we choose from the Hoover Hatchery catalog. Going to the local Habitat for Humanity tomorrow to see what they have in the way of doors and small windows for the coop. Exciting times!

I would rule out bear. they would most likely just knock it to the ground.
Raccoons are very strong. I would put my betting money that it is raccoon.
deer will stand on their hind legs and eat from bird feeders. the bent rod could be from the deer hanging onto it with a front hoof.
I don't know of any humans that have a craving for bird seed.
I made 2 loaves of bread today. the dough quadrupled on the first , one hour rise. the loaves tripled on the second rise and were still rising as I put them into the oven. that was only a 20 minute rise.
the only thing I did differently was that I used the new Dakota Maid flour.
Had bbq ribs , mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and cream style corn for supper.
Annie buys frozen ribs from Menard's. all cooked, just heat, eat and enjoy..
....jiminwisc.......
