we got a notice that if we get symptoms of the virus that we should not take Advil.
Annie check it out with our DD who is a nurse.
DD said that is probably true. Her son has asthma and if he took Advil it could kill him.
Take this hint with caution. It may or may not be true..

It has come through the grapevine that someone has died in Wausau from the virus. Too soon to be on the news, If they even report it..
All they reported about a week ago is that someone in our county had the virus. wouldn't say who or where exactly.

Had hard rain here overnight.
Still raining on and off, some more big green(on radar) headed our way.
Woke up in the middle of the night to thunder and a deluge...
..thinking hope the garage isn't flooding.
Just a bit in garage but chicken run totally flooded, lots of bedding and dirt moved around.
No harm done really, tho underrun is wet, interesting to see the patterns where the water flowed.

yeah, it threatened rain here and did a little.
finally early last night it came with thunder .
we have one spot where the water seeps in .
can't figure out where it collects outside, though.. we have a pile of old towels that we throw down to soak up the water. It isn't too much, but it happens to be right in the hallway to the laundry room..

We had thunder and rain on and off all day yesterday....totally of 2+" over a couple days/night. Now we have wind warnings for today and rain/snow tonight/tomorrow.

Is the area against an outside wall Jim?
House on a slab?
Water can travel and puddle far from where it infiltrates.

poured wall full basement. It seeps in between the floor and footing or floor and wall.
can't tell because that wall is paneled.
all I know for sure is that it seeps up where the concrete floor meets the concrete wall. can't tell what's going on down under.
there is drain tile all around the footings. so you are right, It could be traveling from somewhere else and just found an easy way in.
the end of the drain tile's outlet is on a slope just east of the house. but after 50 years of sod growing over it, I know only about where it is.
I should try to find it and open it up.
can I water witch that drain tile ?

At work a guy was good at water witching and found a missing sump pump line
I can't witch, but some people sure can

I should try to find it and open it up.

If it's plugged and not flowing, would witching work?

Had an uncle in law that could do it, watched him and he let me try....
... it worked, was fascinating and kinda creepy to feel that pull on the branch in my hands.

I have witched electric wires and telephone lines using bent pieces of coat hangars.
I think it takes flowing water to witch for it.
maybe there would be enough water seeping along the drain pipe ?? we will see after the snow goes away..
Like I said, I know just about where it comes (came) out of the ground. If I can't witch it, I might be able to probe for it with a stout piece of metal rod..
when I built my house, I was young and naive.. I called a well driller and said, I want my well right here.. He drilled and we hit lots of water..even when I forgot to turn off the hose and the water ran all night we didn't run the well dry ..

LOL, it seems I have the same luck with the drain line.
