What size lumber do you use for poop boards? I just use the deep litter method.
I have /do both. 2 of my neighbours like to chicken-sit if we want to go on a trip/vacation.Enjoy
I found I didn't care for traveling and got the poultry again a few years after retiring.
Nice you have neighbors you can swap chores withI have /do both. 2 of my neighbours like to chicken-sit if we want to go on a trip/vacation.
They like to travel too and have animals I take care of regularly.
We do make it easy for each other with feeders /feeding that only needs attention once a day. My chickens have an automatic popdoor.
Costs nothing but a small thank you present. Like a bottle of wine or a jar of honey.
And I always get special treats from them too depending on the trip.
Yes this is why I avoid jellies and jam.yesterday I made 5 pints of strawberry jam.
I followed a recipe that said to use equal amounts of berries and sugar , by weight.
Man,, was it sweet. so to day Annie worked her magic and came up with a couple packages of strawberries. I mixed the whole kit and kabootle and desweetened the jam. I ended up with ten pints. i will water bath it tomorrow.
our snow is not melting much. tomorrow looks like a promising day with the temps in the 50's.
