it looks like the frost season is over.
our blackberries are not blossoming at all,. they do this every few years.
however, out mulberry tree is setting berries.
first time since I planted it 8 years ago.
the apple, pear and plum trees have dropped all of their blossoms. the elderberries are just starting to blossom. the joy of living up nort.
I dragged the garden once more for good measure
then got the corn planter ready and it started to rain. 2 hours earlier than predicted,. we got 6/10 of an inch. not good for planting, the good for the raised beds.

Molpet, I hope you got some rain.
garden was too wet to use the seeder. so the corn did not get planted . again,..
beans are sprouting. but only coming up, hit and miss.
every pea seed sprouted
getting blossoms on the tomatoes, despite that they are not tall enough to stake, yet.

Yes I got 1.20" :celebrate
A nice slow all day rain.
I was out with the poultry and heard a large branch come down. No wind at the time. Of course it fell on the poultry net fence. Glad I heard it. I check the fence already that morning. This was in a spot out of sight.
I was able to get the posts on either side out of the ground. A couple posts popped out where the branch hit....roll it off the fence. No damage to the fence. The branch was about the diameter of me

We are eating tomatoes from the garden, I love them!

we won't be eating tomatoes for a few weeks yet.
i do have a nice squash blossom wide open this morning. the vine is barely 2 feet long/.
still too wet to work the soil in the corn patch,
It rains just about every day,.
only about half of the bean seeds came up. I think I will fill in the voids and call it a second crop.
the tomatoes are kind of in limbo. we need some hot sunshine for them/,.

we finally got two days in a row without rain
so now what happens? the tiller won't start and now the tractor decided to not start , also.
I called the bil and asked him to bring a tiller over here,. he has 3 of them.
in the mean time i will put on my mechanic's hat and see what i can do.

It's always something. :barnie

I am at a standstill for awhile/
Annie had to go to town so I sent the spark plug along so she could buy a new one,
in the mean time I planted the rest of the bean seeds in spots where none came up/
then i trimmed the lower leaves off of the tomatoes and tied them to the stake/ i want to keep ahead of them. usually a side branch gets away . if that happens again, i will cut it off/.

I found a penny sized tomato while I was watering today.

We had about 4 minutes of rain. The 60-70% chances are drying up to 20-30%, and it looks like it's going north or south of us. I get all whiny about it, and then see on the evening news about people dying in flood waters. I got nothing to complain about.
