helping baby hatch

Still peeping but he’s trying so hard to get out.

I’m a school teacher and am worried to leave him. Will he be okay overnight? Sorry for all the questions
Do you have any Neosporin that you can put on the membrane? I am afraid that if you don't the membrane will dry out.
@WVduckchick, @pxyis, can you offer some advice?
 
Did you remove the shell over the air cell, or did the chick do that?

They can take up to 24 hours before they start to zip, so he might not be ready to hatch until tomorrow morning. I would definitely put something like coconut oil, bacitracin, or Neosporin on the membrane to keep it from drying out.
 
You don't want to rush him, because trying to get him out too soon can kill him.
