can anyone tell me if you can tell a chickens coloring from a chicks colorings?

Its really hard to tell because they change so much from chick to adult....this one if black it can turn into a solid black and I have a rooster that started like yours and he is now a brown rooster with green tail and some black flowering!

Very nice birds you have I had another rooster that was all white with red wings and another hen that matched my other rooster sadly the rooster was attacked by a hawk and the other hen was attacked by a raccoon. So I redid their pen and coop so this couldn't happen again put I am looking to get more hens and possibly another rooster

I do not have an incubator yet I do want to get one but not sure which is best for me yet and if I have the time to do what is necessary to hatch eggs. All that aside I would love to hatch eggs and raise my birds from egg to adult.

I got 4 chicks yesterday 3 more hens and another rooster next step is an incubator so I can hatch some for myself pics of them soon
