My friend's hen just started acting weird. Sitting and falling asleep almost like narcolepsy, but waking up to eat and drink again. It's like she's looking around with her eyes closed.
1. No respiratory problems
2. No sneezing
3. Green poop
4. Doesnt respond when talked to
5. Only opens eyes when there's food
6. She's about 3 1/2
7. She still squawks occasionally with eyes open
8. Her head moves around with her eyes closed.

When was the last time she laid an egg?
What breed?
Check her crop, full at night & empty in the morning.
Any new additions to the flock?
Pic of the poop would help, watery?
What is she being fed?
1. Shes of the new chickens I got. Didnt say who lays eggs or not. Got 14 old hens because he was moving. They were fine until now.
2. She's a black chicken. Will post a pic.
3.he gave me a hen with cataracts so I make sure all his oldies get hand fed every morning.
4. Shes eating meat maker with the rest of the old girls. Occasional mealworms.
5. Its runny green poo. Its winter so we dont have grass. The only other thing they ate this week was oatmeal and cranberries.

Is this the same chicken that your are already getting help with or is it a different one?

Does this hen have a discharge of pus from her eyes?
I would try to get a better look at the eyes and face.
Check her closely for lice/mites and consider getting a fecal float to check for worms.

Her feathers look like she may be molting, but hard to tell in the video.
Where they are housed, even if it's cold you want to make sure they have ventilation-that is important to move out moisture and ammonia from the poop.

Just a note - anytime you bring in new chickens it's best to keep them quarantined away from your existing flock(s) so you can monitor them for illness and parasites.
