Has she healed up all the way?How do I get the greasy ointment out of her feathers?
I can’t give her a dish soap bath yet. I’ve tried just wiping her with a soapy towel.
I am going to try baby powder next.
Unless there’s a better way.

I would just wipe excess away with a paper towel. Eventually the ointment will wear off when she heals and can go outside to take dust baths.
Omg. Your little angel. (The human one). so stinking sweet. Don’t blink. You’ll miss it. Mine is 22 and a wonderful young lady. But miss this time with her when she was younger. We are cleaning her right now
If the smell is gone, then I wouldn't plush the wound out any more, let it start scabbing over. Apply your ointment at least once a day. When do we start letting her heal without ointment?
