Hen Being Excluded

Hi! I have this one orpington, Butters, who seems like a runt. She’s eight months old, and she’s the only hen I haven’t seen laying an egg. She’s never been as big as the others, but she was at the top of the pecking order until recently. About a month ago, she stopped roosting with the others, and has slept on top of the nest boxes. She’s been bullied by this one bird and doesn’t get very much food. We haven’t been very worried until it started to get really cold at night. Thoughts?

Provide multiple feeding stations to assure that she gets enough to eat.

I have three feeding stations one at each end of the run and one hanging in the coop. Only squabbles I seem to have over food is at treat time.(Everyone wants what the one has that took a piece and ran away). If one feeder is out of site from the others it is hard for the bully to control them. Good luck.
