Hen Crowing!

my 2 month old chicken who I thought was a female is doing the same thing! only does it once a week when she's excited to see me and it sounds more like a screaming goose than the rooster around the block. lots of opinions on whether or not it's a male but i guess time will tell. anybody know if it's normal for a rooster to do a monotone crow once a week? this noise seems to have replaced the loud chirp it used to make

A photo would help us confirm gender for you

Managed to video it just now! this is only the fourth time he has done it ever since he started over 2 weeks ago. Only seems to happen when it's happy to see me and never when out in the pen alone. There's a rooster around the block that crows at least 5 times a day and it sounds more like a cockledoodledoo. Has no spurs and the tail feathers don't droop so i dunno. The guy who gave it to me said it was a female but who knows if he really knew

So this bird id 2 months old? Only asking as it appears a bit more developed than that. If the age is accurate, the color and development of comb and wattle are those of a male

ty! yep 2 months and 3 days! from what i've heard it's a bright red waddle that means a rooster but this one is more pink. also, i am seeing lots of pictures of confirmed females with identical combs and waddles. how is it you can tell?
