Since she's weakening, I suggest giving her sugar water to drink. You can give her tepid Gatoraid if you have it, or mix a teaspoon of sugar into a cup of tepid water. If you have Poultry Nutri-drench, add a squirt into the sugar water. Let her drink it freely. If she's too weak to drink, you can syringe or tube feed it to her. Do you know how to tube feed? It would be the fastest way to revive her.

I know in *theory* how to tube feed, but don't have the supplies. I do have syringes for dewormer though, I can put sugar water mixed with Nutridrench in that and in her mouth.

Lubed up a gloved finger and felt an egg up about 2/3 inches. I can tell she's in a lot of pain, so I gave her some Meloxicam from when she prolapsed. Poor girl.

Oh no. Well at least we have a probable answer. @azygous how long does it take for calcium carbonate to work, out of curiosity? Is there a point when you'd suggest another dose?

Let the calcium carbonate work for a few more hours. Moist heat under the patient can help. To achieve that, use a heating pad under a moist towel. Keep her quiet in a dim area away from all distractions. Be sure she has water to drink. Lubing the vent with mineral or coconut oil can help. It can also help to use a syringe and insert the tip just inside the vent to provide more moisture to the tissues there.

I neglected to clarify what tp syringe into the inside of the cloaca. Use warmed saline.
