We have laced wyandotte who is trying to fight out bantam d'uccle rooster. She pinned him and is drawing blood on his comb. She is fighting him like he is a threat to her position in the flock. we currently have them separated but I am at a loss as to what to do with them. We only have 1 coop so keeping them separated is going to be an issue.

Welcome to BYC.
How long have you had each of these birds and how long has the aggression been happening?

Thank you for responding. The rooster was hatched in the flock last June. The hen is about 2 years of age.

I would say keep the hen separated until his comb heals then reintroduce her and see what happens. I have both large fowl and bantams and the bantams can and do stick up for themselves. Maybe if she is separated for a bit she will settle down.

We have him in tonight. We let him out for a little and he appeared to be going after her. Hopefully some time apart will help. His comb is a mess!
