Hen laying clumps of shells

When the Educators respond to threads about lash eggs, they usually ask that they be cut open and photographed. That does look like lash material. I'll let @Eggcessive respond and talk to you about it, she's far more knowledgeable than I.
I noticed that after looking at some other threads… unfortunately I had already thrown it out. It was muck inside.. nothing firm… there was some white that was kind of like cooked egg white.. a piece the size of a nickel…it was mucky tho

I believe my flock contracted infectious bronchitis from some day old chicks I brought in for my broody💔 I lost 2 of the 4 chicks to the respiratory issue and quite a few of my flock started coughing sneezing runny noses and had hoarse voices for a couple days before I got it under control. Everyone got over the respiratory issues but my egg production plummeted and now that they’ve started laying again many of them have misshapen eggs. Have never experienced that before 😔
The easiest way to spread diseases is visiting other peoples chicken coops and wearing the same shoes in your coop. I would definitely recommend you stick to buying hatchery chicks in the future so you don't buy anymore sick chicks. You could also buy fertile eggs and hatch your own if you're brave.

Normally I get fertilized eggs.. but my broody had already gone 28 days and was wasting to nothing.. her eggs didn’t hatch unfortunately I couldn’t tell they weren’t fertilized they were from my Marans and I couldn’t see through them. The chicks I picked were day old barred rock & sexlinks as I didn’t want any more roos. I NEVER buy from hatcheries. I don’t want vaxxed chicks. Usually always reputable breeders who show but unfortunately I didn’t find any available and I took a chance on this guy who claimed to be organic💔
My flock has paid for it
I know better but was so worried about my girl wasting as she wasn’t giving up even without eggs under her.
My flock is now locked down.. just really sucks😔

It would be good to cut it in half and take another picture. It looks like possible lash material and shell.
I threw it out 😳 I did pull it apart though. It was muck inside. Nothing firm. May have been some puss tho as there was a small mushy chunk size of nickel that was white like cooked egg white….
If she lays again I’ll make sure I take pics inside and out.
Deworming tomorrow in case that’s an issue

💔think this is a lash egg
Don’t understand why she was able to lay 3 normal eggs while on calcium but then went back to laying these

It looks like a combination of egg membrane and possible caseous lash material. Caseous=
Cheese-like pus. She really does act like she has some damage to her shell gland or maybe salpingitis. I would consider giving more calcium, but that is up to you. Have you considered using an antibiotic, such as amoxicllin? Here is a link for some, and dosage is 1 capsule in the morning and in the evening for 7-10 days.

I was giving more calcium but then stopped until I heard from you as someone said it can cause gout. I don’t think she’s getting enough calcium.. she gets chased off of things a lot-low in order. I will give her more calcium and watch. I’ve been giving nano silver oregano and thyme…
But if I can get the antibiotics here in Canada maybe I’ll just give that for a bit. Really trying to help her💔 shes a house hen so I’m pretty attached
