I was told that this was a pullet blue leghorn 3 months old
but I’m not so sure
watching it over the few days as it grows its waddles are becoming very red as well as its feathers
The white one I’m pretty sure is a white leghorn pullet but the blue one I’m not positive as there is some brown lacing starting on the feathers as well

Well, I can guarantee the blue one is NOT Leghorn per leg color and comb type.

If the white one is Leghorn it should have white ear lobes. If the lobes are red then it may be a white Rock.

Both appear female if stated age is correct. :love

Well, that would be a second lie I have caught this guy in
yes the white one has white earlobes
The supposed blue leg horn has the same color earlobes as its feathers

any idea of what breed it could be?

and I never thought about the leg color duhhh. I just message the guy and asked him what it was mixed with because of the leg color and the brown lacing that is starting

Just because the chick is white doesn’t mean it’s not actually blue. Blues will hatch white, blue, or black. The black/blue chick looks to me to maybe be a production blue. They have the brown lacing on the neck.

the white chick is suppose to be white, but the blue/black one not 100% it’s a leghorn at all now
think his red or blue laced blue wyandottes may have got mixed idk. be interesting to watch mature either way I’m happy

i messaged him to ask so we shall see

People make mistakes all the time. And those who don't know any different may be repeating what they were told or what they discovered in their research and believe to be true.

What kind of comb on the blue bird? If it is indeed an Australorp, then it should be straight, similar to but maybe shorter than the possible Leghorn. I think it should have red lobes, but haven't raised that breed or variety before so not super familiar.

Sounds like you got some hatchery pullets maybe and not from a breeder?

i has a very straight, short black comb
no, he’s a breeder with what’s suppose to be a reputable farm but I’m not going to be reviewing it or buying from him anymore
1st time & last lol
no hard feelings, atleast the sex is correct I’m hoping... looks to be
