Looks like a pullet to me... how old?

Any chance for a head-on shot?

It is a rooster. The straight comb is the result of recessive genes hidden in both parents. It is really difficult to weed out traits like that.

There are two things that make me think this is a rooster: The crest has spikey feathers of varying length. A female should have a nice even pom-pom. The body shape looks to be that of a rooster.

Thank you all very much for the help. I was thinking it probably was a roo because of the big comb but wanted to double check as a couple of my hens have kinda big combs too! Thanks!
