Hen or Rooster? What breed??

Hi Everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here. I had a broody hen…again…and purchased 6 chicks for her. As usual, she’s an amazing surrogate mother. My question is about 1 chick…black and white chick. They are now 6 weeks old. I was told the breed of this one chick and it was supposed to be a pullet. I’d like to see what you guys/gals think it is. Hen or Roo and the breed???? It has feathered feet as well. Thanks soooo much!!!

What about the feathers legs? I didn’t even notice the feathers until I got it home at 2 days old.

Not a Barred Rock, because the chick has feathered feet and Rocks have clean feet.

He’s a “midnight majesty marans” (or a mystic marans) cockerel, which is a sex-linked marans cross produced by hatcheries. He’s not a cuckoo marans because a cuckoo would be lighter due to being pure for the barring gene (he is impure for the barring gene, causing him to be darker like a barred hen).
