I have two 7 week chicks that were recently weaned and we have one hen who is picking on the littlest one specifically. She hasn’t injured them but she will pluck out feathers if she can get ahold of her. The two babies end up just hanging out in the coop most of the day while the big girls are outside. I feel so bad for them! Is this normal behavior that will subside when they are full grown or is this something to worry about? (Pic of mama and baby for attention)

What does your run look like. Is it a bare open rectangle? Those are very vulnerable to pecking issues, as a bird can never get out of sight. If so, add a bunch of clutter to it. This allows the victim, to escape and get out of sight. It is great to put feed bowls out spaced so that while eating at one feed station, one cannot see a bird eating at another.

We have a few roosts and stumps and places they can hide but we could probably bare to have a few more! We have the main feeder in the run and a smaller feeder in the coop for the babies
