Hen sitting

Could separating my hens from my drakes possibly help their hormones change so that then or one of them will start sitting? I have two Rouen females and two Rouen males.

No...That won't work.
They either get High enough hormones to set eggs or they don't..

If you're wanting a hen that sits you could always add an older hen that has that tendency to your flock. You probably won't get as many eggs from her but if you're using her to hatch babies that won't matter as much. If you can't find a good hen you could always try your hand at incubation.

Also having two Drakes in with only two Hens could be causing stress. One Drake is all you need. Drakes are hard on Hens .

That is a possibility. My daughter was just asking me about ours if he " lays on them" when they are trying to set the eggs. I haven't noticed mine doing that, but that doesn't mean none of them ever will.
